A few things I enjoyed from around the web this week:
Whenever my family goes on a road trip, I like to buy coffee out but bring breakfast, and it’s usually something like bacon-egg-cheese muffins. I found this recipe for Frittata Breakfast Sandwiches that looked genius. The eggs are baked in a baking sheet. Great for a crowd! I can’t bear the thought of wasting eggs so I’ll cut mine into squares (instead of rounds) and serve them inbetween toasted, gluten-free bread.
Fiona Ferris, author of Thirty Chic Days and other books, has recently released a new one called Financially Chic. I hope she releases it in paperback form because I would love to read it, but I dislike ebooks. She is sharing tips from the book on her YouTube channel. More here.
One Simple Phrase that Will Change Your Thoughts (and Spare Some Pain) – I read this post a long time ago, but I’m glad someone mentioned it again. Great article, and I have used this technique many times in my life. Hint: it’s all about the stories we tell ourselves.
Oldies but goodies from this blog:
What the happiest moms do before breakfast – I’ve been thinking about mornings a lot lately. Through the years I’ve become convinced that mornings are vital to the success of the day. If I can’t do my morning routine, I feel “off” all day. I’ve been getting up before my kids for years because my mental health is more important than sleeping in.
A perfect day – have you ever done this exercise? I’ve often seen this advice in books about personal growth. What would your perfect day look like?
The trouble with Mama Berenstain – does anyone else recognize this tendency in themselves? Guilty!
Last week’s contest winner was Heather C. The book is on its way to her today. Thanks for entering!

Thank you, Carrie, for the mention 🙂
I can’t bear waste either, so I’d have square eggs too. At least the recipe author is saying to save them for another dish, but who needs the hassle?
Financially Chic is now out in paperback, it’s on the same Amazon listing as the Kindle now 🙂
