This year I’m excited about several things. My husband and I are most likely moving into our new home (if everything goes right with the paperwork – so far, so good!) in a few weeks, our first home purchase.
My blog traffic is jumping and I released an ecourse I’m certain will help people.
It feels so good to feel good!
This time last year, I was not in a good place. I was hanging on to the last of the baby weight. I was puffy and tired and depressed and anxious.
Something had to change.
What does this have to do with you?
Last week I got an email from Crystal Paine, who has been a blogging mentor to me for years. I’ve enjoyed everything Crystal has done to help women meet their goals – whether for blogging or other work-at-home endeavors, getting out of survival mode, making the most of mornings or evenings, or whatever else.
This time, Crystal is sharing how she turned around her health last year. I jumped on the opportunity to once again learn a few tips from her and signed up for this 15 Days to a Healthier You course.
I’m excited to get started and get to know the other participants in the private Facebook group. Will you be there?
One thing I know about setting goals is that for some, public accountability is crucial to making things happen.
One of my favorite happiness writers, Gretchen Rubin, says that a good portion of the population is made up of Obligers, people who struggle to meet inner expectations and who need a team, someone counting on them to show up, in order to motivate themselves. If you’re an Obliger, you need this program especially!
Another thing I know is that Crystal massively over-delivers. Her products are always reasonably priced, and she always gives tremendous value. This program is only $15 – the amount most of us drop on cleaning products for our homes every week or a book for one of our kids.
But you’re worth $15 too.
What I like about this course (and Crystal has kindly let some of us preview the program, I’ve already read some of the ebook that comes with the course) is that it doesn’t only teach you how to “get healthy”. It also focuses on your emotional and mental well-being.
As I’ve talked about before (especially here), this may be the most important aspect of wellness, especially for us moms. We’re often so focused on taking care of others that we neglect the very things that make us feel alive.
If this sounds at all like you, come join us – I’ll see you on the inside!
So why am I signing up for this program even though I am feeling so much better?
Because I realize that maintaining my health and well-being is NOT a “one and done”. It’s a daily discipline. If I’m going to be of any use to my family, I need to “sharpen the sword” on a regular basis. I need these reminders too.
p.s. Don’t dilly-dally, this course will be closed after January 3rd. Crystal wants the group to be limited in size so everyone can get the most benefit 🙂

I’ve been so bad about exercising lately! I dropped my exercise regimen when we started remodeling our house this past September and I haven’t picked it back up yet. But I do remember that exercising is exhilarating and makes me feel wonderful–it’s just that pesky bit about actually doing the hard work. 😉

My favorite part of this post is the quote “Filling your own cup means you can give from a place of blessings instead of resentment.” That will stick with me!

I’ve never been one who likes to exercise, though I’m sure I need it! Got to get myself in the place to want to! Thanks for sharing!
