One year

Today is January 19. If my youngest child had been born on his due date, he would be one year old today.

Instead, he is 15 months old.

If you’re new here, you can read our preemie story here. I’m working on this page a little at a time, and at this moment it’s not complete. I can only do a little bit at a time because it’s very difficult emotionally for me to relive that time and those feelings that were so intense, I often felt as if I was drowning.

If you want to read the whole story, I promise I’ll finish it in the next day or so.

Movin’ on up. I left the room for a second, came back and he was on the third stair (he’s not walking yet). No more leaving the room for a second!
