A few things I enjoyed from around the web recently…

One of my favorite authors, Laura Vanderkam, has a new TED talk up called “How to gain control of your free time“. Laura’s approach to time-management isn’t about shaving seconds off of routine tasks. It’s about crafting your day, your week, your life around what really matters.

Neat interview on Gretchen Rubin’s site with the producer of The Happiness Advantage. We often hear the phrase “you can’t change people”, but as it turns out, that’s scientifically false. We have tremendous influence on the people around us. (Also, tips on getting your exercise by making it fun!)

The unsexy word that will make 2017 your best year ever. I loved this post, and realized I had been applying this word to my life in various areas for a couple of years now.

If you haven’t already, check out Crystal Paine’s 15 Days to a Healthier You program. It’s closing in a few days. I joined too!

It’s not bad to want alone time, mom
P.S. How do you like my new blog design? 🙂

Ok, so, I figured out the comments thing. When you’re on the home page, you can read the whole first post, but there’s nowhere to click to get to the comments. If you click on the post title, then you’re taken to the post page, where you can access the comments.
So as long as people are on the post page, comments are available. But there’s no way to see that from the home page.
Is there a setting that will let you put a comments link on the homepage? Like, under the post title?
The new design looks fresh and clean!

Thanks for telling me about that little quirk. That’s the only frustrating thing about changing themes – you don’t always find out these things right away!
I’ll ask my designer about that. 🙂 I do notice that the text font is larger, which is a nice thing on my old lady eyes. LOL
