Wondering how to get free audio books with Amazon Prime? I think I might be late to this party, but never mind. I was totally stoked when I found out that one can get free audio books from Audible as an Amazon Prime member!
How to get free audio books with Amazon Prime
Here’s what you do:
Download the Audible app and log in with your Amazon username and password.
Once in the app, you’ll see “Channels for Prime”. Each of these has a selection of totally free audio books. There are several channels available.
I followed the “For All Generations” channel, which has free popular and classic kid’s audio books. At the moment there are 7 in all. Winnie The Pooh was one, a Magic Tree House book, The wind in the Willows, The Velveteen Rabbit, and more. Love!
I can’t wait to start using this for quiet time or during lunch to help the little ones settle down and stay a little longer at the table.
I also followed the “You & Improved” channel with personal growth titles. (Currently listening to The Confidence Gap by Russ Harris.)
I’m also interested in the Editor’s Choice books with full-length fiction. (These are streaming only.)
You can also listen to a number of podcasts using the app. All free with Amaon Prime, and no Audible membership required!
Some of the channels that look intriguing to me: The Great Courses selected lectures, Get Smart in 20 minutes or less, In The Beginning Bible in a Year, Speak It. FRENCH Beginner and Intermediate (already downloaded!).
This would be a fantastic tool for homeschoolers and bibliophiles alike.
Not an Amazon Prime member? I have been for years. Totally worth it to me. You can sign up for a free month-long trial here: Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial
(At this time, the free audio books with Audible and Amazon offer is US only. Not sure if that will change in the future.)
Did you know about this benefit? Do you enjoy listening to audio books?
