I totally forgot to keep track of the books I read last month, so there was no Twitterature post for July.
Here’s what I’ve been reading lately:
The Art of Non-Conformity: Set Your Own Rules, Live the Life You Want, and Change the World by Chris Guillebeau. I have been wanting to read this book forever because Chris G is awesome sauce, and because the digital nomad lifestyle is fascinating to me. I loved the book. Also, I got it free on PaperBackSwap which just goes to show I can get nearly any book I want from there if I am patient enough.
The Nesting Place: It Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect to Be Beautiful by Myquillyn Smith had also intrigued me, mostly because all of my favorite bloggers were raving about it. I loved this book too. My decorating style is nothing like Myquillyn’s, but I got so much inspiration and practical advice from this book. It really inspired me.
All the Money in the World: What the Happiest People Know About Wealth by Laura Vanderkam. Laura is one of my favorite authors, and so one day when I was desperate for something to read, I opened this ebook on my computer to re-read it. I did a longer review of All The Money in the World here a couple of years ago.
Next month I’ll be talking about these books:
They were part of my anniversary gift from hubby. Last night he took the kids to the park for an hour and I started reading. I only got to page 36! I’m already learning a lot and can’t wait to try some recipes.
Linking up with Modern Mrs. Darcy for Twitterature.
Anne @ I Need Some Inspiration says
Ah, I had to return All the Money in the World to the library before I could get too far into it. I’ve enjoyed (and benefitted from) other writings of hers. I will probably get it another time! Nester’s book was really inspiring! I just loved reading it and know I will read it again. I’ve also been meaning to read Julia Child’s memoir. Thanks for sharing!
