The last couple of times I placed an Amazon order, I took advantage of the free “no-rush” shipping so I could have a free credit for digital stuff.
One of the things I ordered? More Bonne Maman jelly. My family loves it. It isn’t cheaper than jelly from ALDI, but… the jars and lids are so dang cute and perfect for reusing for many things. The jar on the left had strawberry jelly clinging to it, so I added milk and shook it up for “strawberry milk”. The one on the right has overnight oats.
Last night before I made dinner, I cleaned out the fridge in preparation for grocery shopping tomorrow. I found enough leftovers that I didn’t have to cook. Also, I was able to take this picture of a clean fridge. Win/win.
I went to my favorite consignment shop yesterday. Ilana found a pair of new Keds with Taylor Swift’s signature in them. (Apparently that’s cool?) I had a credit from stuff that sold so I walked out without paying for them.
Julien needed a new suit (he wears one 3 times a week). He picked out a gorgeous Joseph A Bank wool suit on eBay for $40.
Josiah needed some new shirts and without thinking (frugal faux pas – shopping without thinking!), I bid on a few eBay auctions for him. Then I remembered a friend gave me a box of clothes almost 2 years ago with little boy clothing. Sure enough there were several shirts in there, size 24 months. Good thing I was soon outbid on the auctions. (This is one of the reasons I generally eschew the clothing stash.)
I enjoy refilling bottles with lower-cost counterparts. Case in point: this overpriced Mrs. Meyer’s surface scrub. I got it for free from Grove.co when I had a credit, but don’t want to pay $5 for another. So I removed the top, refilled it with baking soda and 20 drops lavender oil and popped the top back on. Et voila!
Oops. That’s more than five again.

Oh, I love that jelly too!
