The Early To Rise Experience for Moms: Start Waking up to a new Life by Andy Traub – this was a neat ebook about all the great reasons, specifically for moms, to rise early. Preaching to the choir with that, but it was quite motivating to me to continue with my morning routine. Has lots of practical advice for how to become an early riser.
The No-Brainer Wardrobe – I actually read this last month and forgot to mention it. Love its simple philosophy for the fashion clueless such as myself.
Lunch in Paris: A Love Story, with Recipes – girl meets a Frenchman, falls madly in love, cooks to find herself. This meme never gets old.
Mastering the Art of French Eating: Lessons in Food and Love from a Year in Paris – Bored wife of an American diplomat moves to Paris, travels through France eating and writing. (Sound familiar?) Loved it.
Think Like a Freak: The Authors of Freakonomics Offer to Retrain Your Brain – I love the Freakonomics series of books. This one was also a delight, only too short.
I read a few other books, all of which were not worth mentioning. In fact, they prompted me to create my own “when to stop reading a bad book” rule. My rule will be: 39 pages (I turned 39 recently). If after 39 pages a book isn’t rocking my world, it’s outta there!
I’m trying to remember if I read Lunch in Paris or not. I hate it when that happens.
I am always happy to find a new food memoir. Thanks!
