Other Recommended Resources

The resources section on my site are where I list favorite resources and tools for making various parts of my life work better. This section is split up into 3 categories: recommended blogging tools, favorite homeschooling resources and other – for homemaking, organization, and a little of everything! (current page)

On this page, I list resources and things that make my life as a writing mom of 7 homeschooled kids go a little more smoothly.

Homemaking Resources

Grove – I order personal care items, non-toxic cleaning products and more each month at low prices and free shipping from Grove. This keeps me out of stores and saves a lot of time. Grove’s prices generally beat Amazon Prime, but if they don’t, Grove will price match!  See how Grove saves me time and money here.

Saving Money and Time on Shopping

Along the same lines, ThredUp and Schoola are where I get many of mine and my children’s clothing. Great stuff at consignment-shop prices, and I don’t have to leave my house!

I also order a “fix” from StitchFix every few months for my own minimalist wardrobe. My very favorite clothing items, that I wear over and over, came from StitchFix. See a review here.

I use Amazon Fresh to order groceries. Here is my review of Amazon Fresh. (I also love ALDI for their low prices and smaller selection. I’ve been ordering more groceries online for the ease of it!)

I have been an Amazon Prime member for years and love it. It saves me money well above and beyond the yearly fee. One of my favorite benefits are the free audiobooks that don’t require an Audible subscription.

Time Management and Organization

I love using my Bullet Journal for time management and personal organization. I won’t ever be without it!

For decluttering and organization advice, I’m a fan of Marie Kondo’s books.

Health and Wellbeing

For health and weight management, I have a couple of things that I love. Katy Bowman‘s books helped me change my paradigm from that of “exercise” to “movement”. There is an important difference. Everyone with a body should read her books. Absolutely life-changing.

I started eating the TrimHealthyMama way over a year ago and absolutely love it. I feel so much better, and stay slim effortlessly. I even began a TrimHealthyMama blog to encourage other women and help them learn how to make the plan work for them.

My favorite cookbooks are The Trim Healthy Mama cookbook,  Simple: The Easiest Cookbook In The World and The Bonne Femme Cookbook.  (I also love Pioneer Woman’s cookbooks, but they aren’t exactly easy on the waistline!)

Other Resources

I use TING for my cell phone service. It slashed my phone bill in half and more. Here is my honest TING mobile review.
