100 Things That Make Me Happy

In the past I’ve kept gratitude journals, blogged about what I’m thankful for, and in general tried to be as mindful as possible of my current blessings. This will be an ongoing list that will remind me of some of the little things that make my life awesome.

  1. Pencils, freshly sharpened.
  2. A baby’s wet, toothless grin.
  3. The smell of libraries.
  4. Libraries, period.
  5. Hugh Laurie, in any role.
  6. Wireless internet.
  7. Those mesh baby feeder things
  8. Baby slings.
  9. IKEA dates with hubby.
  10. Post-It flags and book darts.
  11. Coupons
  12. Dollar store pregnancy tests. (They work.)
  13. Well seasoned cast iron pans.
  14. Getting email from my 9 year old son.
  15. Old Navy flip-flops for $1
  16. Blue polish on my toes.
  17. Edy’s all fruit lime popsicles.
  18. My ghetto margaritas. (secret ingredient? #17)
  19. Bacon.
  20. Capers.
  21. Cloth diapered baby butts
  22. Laundry on a clothesline
  23. Pandora.com
  24. TED.com
  25. Monday night .99 roller skating
  26. Picnics
  27. Flipping through my back issues of ReadyMade magazine.
  28. Buying school supplies for pennies on clearance after everyone else goes back to school.
  29. Buying something cheap at a yard sale and flipping it on eBay for profit.
  30. When I’m running errands in town, and run into hubby, and he buys lunch.
  31. Banks that offer free money when you open an account. I estimate I’ve earned about $500 doing this over the years.
  32. WordPress.
  33. Getting free blog bling, just for doing what I love: writing.
  34. Sunny days.
  35. Rainy days (every once in awhile).
  36. Buying my kids clothes online here and here.
