How to discipline a toddler who deliberately disobeys

Contrary to popular opinion, discipline isn’t synonymous with punishment. It is leading and guiding, however, and it begins at birth. When your nursing baby latches on poorly, you can gently remove him and re-latch him correctly. He gets more milk, and you don’t get pain. This is discipline – teaching.

This is a wonderful post that I need to re-read often. As I said in the comments there, sleep deprivation can make even a seasoned mom forget what she has learned about parenting toddlers!
