Did you know it’s Hug a Fat month? Yes, that’s a thing. Even if it wasn’t a thing, I would still be happy to proclaim my love for KerryGold butter.
Butter from grass fed cows definitely qualifies as a healthy fat. We need fat, people. Our brains and gonads are made of the stuff, and if we don’t eat enough of it, those areas (and others, such as the skin) will suffer.
A few of my other favorite fats:
– coconut manna- appropriately named, if you ask me, because it is straight from heaven
– coconut oil – I can hardly keep our pantry stocked with coconut oil because my girls are constantly making homemade candy or lip balm from it. Also de rigueur for the best tasting stovetop popcorn evah.
– coconut cream – is there an echo in here? We use it to make frosting, or in my hot cocoa or oatmeal.
But if I were stranded on a desert island and could only have one fat, it would be KerryGold butter.
Kiss me, I’m Irish.
All these fats, of course, are delightfully gluten-free, keeping with the theme this month.
